BlindSight Delaware Enterprises brings together all of John Baker’s experience in business, banking, health and human services, nonprofits, and government relations.  Having worked in all these arenas and closely with foundations, corporations, and individuals, he knows the importance of diversification of funding in order to build sustainably great organizations.

John received his Bachelor’s in Finance from Rider University, a Master’s in Public Policy and Leadership from Rutgers University, as well as Harvard’s Public Leadership Fellowship (2-years) and Columbia University Business School’s Executive Leadership Development Certification (2-years)

John’s led the development of statewide health and advocacy organizations, Industry Development membership organizations, as well as other statewide organizations addressing homelessness, mental health, foster care, domestic violence, and human-trafficking.  John’s volunteered with a Johannesburg, South Africa NGO providing resource development systems and leadership development along with outreach into displaced-persons and refugee camps.

As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Grant Professional Certified (GPC), he’s raised over $22 Million to improve the lives of our most vulnerable.  John’s a life-long endurance sport enthusiast competing in running, cycling, and swimming on school teams and in marathons and tri-sports, including an Ironman competition with events in Tallinn, Helsinki, Hawaii and will be adding Chicago to his list of big-6 marathons.  John’s enjoyed horticulture and gardening with his spouse of 27-years along with their dogs: Dusty, Rex, Joy, and Ginger.
